Biography :
Angelos Gavrias was born in germany 29 June 1978.
He finished his studies in Photography at the Art School Ruhrakademie in Germany 2005. In 2004 he started his portrait project Platos Cave which constitute an act of homage to the work of the important photographer August Sander.This work got nominated in 2006 for the 5. Photographic Encounter in Kythira (Greece). 2006 he wins in New York the Golden Light Award for the best Documentary Work of the year with his project “Social Strip”.
Since 2006 Angelos Gavrias lives and works between Europe and New York. Next to his Photography he also works as an Art Director & Project manager.
