The DIFA gallery, opened its doors recently to the public with the opening of an exhibition of etchings and two rare oil pastel drawings by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso on December 8th 2007.
The gallery hosts periodical exhibitions exclusively obtaining works by famous and newly emerging artists through international co-operations with leading galleries around the world. Our intention is the representation of the gallery’s artists at the many international fairs.
The gallery space is accommodated at the cultural compound of Mylos, whose newly refurbished areas combine modern design and historical architecture. Artist Apostolos Palavrakis has the responsibility for the architectural design of the gallery space as well as being exhibition curator.
A second gallery space, located in the city center of Thessaloniki, has been operating since November 11th 2011, thus signifying DIFA gallery's further support of a wide range of practices, which includes all areas of artistic experimentation from drawing through to multi-media and installation.
